GUSD Nutrition Services Department Resources

The Board of Education and the Glendale Unified School District are committed to providing a Wellness Policy that promotes nutritional, physical, and mental health. We believe that a positive, safe, and health-promoting learning environment is necessary for students to have the opportunity to achieve personal, academic, developmental, and social success.

The CalFresh Healthy Living Program helps to support and advance Wellness Policy goals for physical activity and nutrition promotion and education.

Visit the GUSD Nutrition Services Menus page to view monthly menus for breakfast, lunch, and after-school snacks throughout the district. GUSD has garden bars that feature locally grown, seasonal fruits and vegetables at all school sites. Vegetarian entrees are offered every day.

As part of the Smarter Lunchrooms Movement initiative, kindergarten students at Jefferson and Mann Elementary School came up with fun, creative fruit and vegetable names for the menus.
